Corey Siegel

Corey Siegel was born in Buffalo Grove Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, and relocated to Redondo Beach California in 2000.  He then went on to attend California State University Fullerton where he majored in Finance and minored in Human Communications.

Corey currently works for Los Angeles based Private Lending Firm MOR Financial as the Account Executive Manager. MOR Financial specializes in private money lending, secured by real estate. As the Account Executive Manager at MOR Financial Services, Inc., Corey Siegel has been instrumental in underwriting, approving, and funding over $50 million in transactions in 2013 alone.  Corey’s goals for 2015 include doubling business for MOR Financial, and expanding their services to new markets, both inside and outside of California.

Corey joined MOR Financial in 2012. His path to working for MOR Financial and obtaining his real estate license came out of a brainstorming session. At the time, Corey worked as an International Marketing and Production Coordinator for Skechers headquarters in Manhattan Beach. Although he enjoyed his work, he was looking for a new opportunity that would help him grow professionally and personally.

Corey decided to try an experiment where he wrote down key words and phrases that sparked his interest and passion. As he wrote these keywords down on a legal pad of paper, he noticed a few recurring words. These words included: real estate, investing, development, retirement. It was at that point he looked into the steps needed to earn his real estate license.  To Corey, it was clear that all of his key words could come together and become a reality by being involved in real estate.

When Corey is not working, he enjoys staying active.  He played 4 years of varsity basketball and baseball at Redondo Union High School. He loves playing in a men’s basketball league in Burbank, is an avid golfer and remains a diehard Bulls, Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. He’s also a bit of a food junkie, always willing to try new restaurants and different types of food, which is one of the reasons he loves living in Los Angeles. Corey first learned about the Los Angeles Jewish Chamber of Commerce from one of our board members, Bunni Lite, who invited him to a networking mixer. He feels that the people are very warm and welcoming, and that was a key part of becoming a member in October 2014. When asked about what he hopes to gain from becoming a member of the chamber, Corey expressed that it’s more important to ask yourself how you can add value to the organization, first.  People do business with people they know and like, and Corey feels there are plenty of opportunities to work in synergy with all the great people involved with the Los Angeles Jewish Chamber of Commerce.
