Anita Rodal was born in Santa Monica, CA. and grew up in Beverly Hills. She attended University of California, Irvine (UCI) where she majored in linguistics. She later attended California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (CSU Pomona) for her Master’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology. In 1983, Anita moved to Caracas, Venezuela in order to acquire another language, and have the experience of living in another country. She spent three and a half years in Venezuela becoming fluent in Spanish, which has served her well in all facets of her life.
Anita currently owns her own business, SBPI Services, Inc., which in Anita’s own words provides “outside the box business financing.” Since 2006, SBPI Services has been offering its clients’ unsecured business loans, equipment leasing, merchant processing, corporate currency exchange, and securities based loans. Anita became involved in business financing after working for many years in cardiac rehab, and then cardiac medical sales. Needing a change, she switched her profession to commercial real estate loans. This is where she built up her arsenal of lenders and important connections, which would ultimately guide her to starting her own business. One of Anita’s favorite aspects of her job is having the opportunity to work with people, as well as building relationships with clients from all over the world. She describes it as having friends without borders, which is a real privilege.
Another one of Anita’s passions, other than her work, is travelling and helping animals via animal rescue. She has rescued many animals and opened her home to them until a safe and permanent home could be found. She has two cats of her own, named Chloe and Cosita. Chloe is 16 years old and Cosita, meaning little thing in Spanish, is 13. When she is not working, traveling, or rescuing animals in need, Anita enjoys attending networking events throughout the area. She joined the Los Angeles Jewish Chamber of Commerce in October 2014, after being introduced to the chamber via Vice President Bitzy Eichenbaum. Anita ultimately hopes to develop new clients and make new friends as a member of the LAJCC.
